For those watching the ongoing LOM activity in Allens Orchard I can report that the current crew are digging a trench to install the replacement gas main. We need a new one as the current one goes through the middle of the soon to be excavated Allens Orchard Balancing Pond.
The trench will cross the green opposite my house (no 3) and then continue up the left hand side of the roadway to the far end of Allens Orchard. Then crossing the green along(side?) the footpath back to Banbury Road then over the (newly laid) road to be reconnected on the bank by the allotments.
It will take up to 5 weeks in total.
I am hoping we can somehow get the road resurfaced in the process.
Western Power Distribution have also reported that the electricity poles over the allotments will probably be removed early July.
With these combined utility delays the Relief Road is not likely to be finished before Sept/Oct although I haven’t had any new timetable as of yet.
